- Alex B met thirty two members of Bukudumira about how they will open group bank account.This was after the members failed to open with centenary bank in Iganga town. Margaret waiswa the chairperson of the group said as it was important for them to have group bank account. She told them as they worked hard to open with centenary bank but could not go through. They could not meet the demands or requirements. She said the bank has many customers and even those who are applying to be clients. Alex B thanked them for the trial and encouraged them not not to give up. He reminded them of their registration which is a bout to expire by the end of June 2019.He suggested to them to try another bank of which it will be easy with less demand but more effective. That has good customer care and so that members agree to bank with it. He also reminded them that even government or donors prefer to work or help group that already have group bank account. Kigoolo Swaibu suggested to the members to go Post bank and DFCU in Iganga town. He said the earlier the better since their registration is expiring soon. The members gave the leaders the tusk to find out out the two which will be more easy and effective. The chairperson,treasury and secretary of the group will go and find out the requirements.They agreed in the next meeting to have got the information regarding those two banks.There was a concern of financial implications as some money was spent as transport and on documents towards centenary bank. Alex B advised to remain working hard until they succeed with group bank account. He told them as it will be the only safe place where they will be keeping their money safe. In the next meeting Alex B and members will discuss the information that will be received from those two banks.
