Bible Lesson Five: God’s forgiveness
Notes
Ida went to Budhumba and continued with the lesson about God’s forgiveness. After the story of the unforgiving servant and the lost son ,Ida asked the community that who has ever asked for forgiveness from any person? Gettrude said that she has ever but again the person went on telling everyone as I begged for forgiveness. Ngondwe said that when they asked for forgiveness, those people ask for money from them. Ida went on saying that forgiveness comes from the heart not the mouth and can’t be forced. When the unforgiving servant refused to forgive, he was also denied forgiveness and all his family, assets were confiscated. Gettrude said that she felt relived after forgiving her enemy and she never minds of what he talks about her. Charles Okecho gave a testimony that his wife quarred with a neighbor and was taken to local council leaders. When they talked about the problem, it ended up requiring his wife to say sorry. She refused and both were referred to police. At police she said sorry but had to pay a fine of thirty five thousand shillings. Had she said sorry before going to police, all this wouldn’t have happened. Okecho went on saying that once we learn how forgive, the world will be easy to live in .Jesus forgave the people who killed Him! Why can’t we forgive those who have not killed us yet? The community was happy and encouraged by the lesson because it touched their lives.
