Notes
Jeska went to the village to teach the community how to build the fuel efficient stove. When she arrived there, she found the members gathered at the home where the stove was going to be built busy arranging the materials that were going to be used. The members welcomed Jeska with songs of joy and guided her into the kitchen where they had put the already stamped dirt at the corner. Jeska requested the members to stand aside and watch carefully as she began building the stove. This was because most members had just joined the lessons and had not learnt how to build the stove. Jeska went on taking measurements on the kitchen floor where the stove was going to be built after spotting the right wind direction. With a little help from the first members, Jeska hit the dirt on the floor and after laying a proper foundation, she then planted the stems tightly into the dirt. Jeska went ahead explaining every step to the members just to make sure they were not left behind as she also encouraged them to keep asking questions where they didn’t understand for this would enable them learn the skills easily. When the stove was finally built, the members got excited thanking Jeska for the the great lessons taught that day. Jeska thanked everyone for taking part in the demonstration process and together they agreed upon the date that the next meeting would take. They wished her a safe journey back home.
