- Tom picked up the police officer from the district and together they moved to buluvu village to check on sanitation and hygiene improvements in the village. When they reached the village, they were joined by the vht of the village and the chairman. They moved around the village checking on latrines and other facilities. In the first two homes with no latrines, the pits are still not constructed on yet while one resident has started digging another pit for a new latrine. In three other homes, there are new latrines already finished as well as four new dish racks. One resident promised that soon he will be starting on his latrine as well as the kitchen. In one home where the resident just got married, he has started on a new pit for the latrine as well as starting bricks for the kitchen. He recently just finished constructing the shower area. He was very thankful to kibo for encouraging him and he promised that his family will have all facilities just in the near future. The police officer was also thankful for the work kibo has done because she was able to see the change in the village.
