Notes
Irene went to Nabikenge to continue with the signs ,symptoms and prevention of skin diseases. Irene started with a review of the previous lesson then later asked the community members to give some of the signs they know. Nabirye gave rashes, itching, waiswa said the skin develops scales like for a frog and many more examples and demonstrations on the appearance of the infection, which was a sign that the members understood the different signs of the skin diseases in their communities. Later after discussing the signs and symptoms we later went on how to prevent the different skin infections where we discussed several ways to reduce the chances of developing the skin infections from frequent hand washing as one of the best ways ,visiting the health units, practicing basic hygiene, and many other options. Naikoba later as the lesson went on thanked Kibo for the lessons and said her child always suffered from a skin infection that the community elders told her it doesn’t cure but after the previous health lesson she decided to take her baby to the health center and now she sees an improvement. That was good and Irene encouraged the members to utilize their health units because the Government provides most of the medication for free.
