- Tom moved around the village with one of the vhts to check on the homes that had promised to be done with there facilities in the previous visit.
In the first home they visited, they found that he had constructed the concrete floor on the pit and he was waiting for it to dry before he starts the construction of the Latrice structure. Tom also encouraged him about the dish rack in his home ,and he said he was going to construct a better one.
In one home, Tom found when the resident has started on the pit. He was encouraged to continue digging to the right depth because of his big home. Tom also encouraged him to construct a better kitchen for his family. The resident promised the vht that he was going to be done by the latrine in a weeks time. Also there were three new other pits being constructed. On the issue of shower facilities, never though the residents have maintained, Tom encouraged the residents to contribute and buy cement so they can put on there showers to make them stronger and give them more durability.
The vht request Tom for a little more time as she continues to follow up on those residents and when they are all done, she will call Tom to come and evaluate them.
