Village Notes
Harriet went to Maliga to check on the quality and quantity of stoves the community have so far built on their own for the past one month. This is because the program empowers the community with skills of building stoves so that they can build on their own for the program to be effective and sustainable. It was very interesting for Harriet to find when the community had so far built more eight quality stoves on their own. Participants are very excited about the program and thanked Kibo for empowering them with a skill that has encouraged their husbands to participate because they have known it's value. The group plans to ensure that every one gets a stove before the rainy season . This is because when it starts raining participants will be busy in their gardens planting crops.
