Lesson Taught: Bible Lesson 7: The Tongue
Notes: Ida went to Budhumba and continued with the Tongue lesson. She asked a member to read from James 3:2-12 and immediately the chairman requested to say something. He said that his neighbor lost money in things that were nonsense, some person told him that a neighbor’s child had beaten his goat and it’s leg broke, but it was lie. In stead of inquiring what had happened, he just went direct and cut two goats of the accused. When they sat in the meeting to soat out the problem, they found out that no goat was beaten and he had to pay for the goats he had killed and given a tough warning never to do anything out of anger and without asking the cause. Ida used a story of the five mice that had a trip somewhere and unfortunately the road was blocked. They all agreed that one must go and find out the problem at a time.but each one came back with a different opinion. Later after the four had come back, the last mice went and explored the whole thing and bought the whole thing. In the same way, we shouldn’t hear something and act immediately. Ask the three questions, is it true, worth and will it unite? Then speak if the words have passed through the three sieves The memory verse was Ephesians 4:29.
