Notes
Enock visited this community to check on latrine construction, dish rack, kitchen area, rubbish pits, shower areas, clean compounds and more facilities. They focused on home which are still dig latrine pits, homes which are constructing new latrine structures. As they walked around, they taught the residents how to construct good standard facilities which can last longer, they guided the residents how to use good materials to construct strong facilities. The homes which have already completed construction of latrines, we encouraged them to construct good dish racks, and hand washing stations. During the home to home visit, we also taught them the core values of sanitation and hygiene, remained them about the many diseases which are brought there practice of open defecation case in point, typhoid, dysentery, diarrhea in kids and elders, cholera and more which can lead to loss of lives. Most people feel Ashamed lately if they are not having latrines since most people in the community point them out. This has also lead to the increase use of pick axes to dig latrines and construct good standard facilities. The chairman of the village felt so happy to see most of his village residents participating in the programs and taking all the lessons seriously. There is a home where children have helped there mother to dig and construct good latrine and now working in there new dish rack. We encouraged them to continue doing the great work and also encourage their fellow friends to also help their parents.
