- Alex made a last minute change to go to Naibowa as he had planned earlier on to go to Kisiro but because there was a funeral in Kisiro, he re-scheduled to go to Naibowa and follow up on sanitation facility improvements in the upper section of the village. He met with two sanitation committee members to move with him checking on facility construction and standards in the village. They continued to guide all the people to maintain their sanitation standards and also saw some new facilities under construction. A new bathing shelter belonging to simon was seen under construction and was encouraged to build the last three courses with cement to give it longevity and be sustainable. This is what all the people are being encouraged to do. Alex also mobilized the village leaders and sanitation committee members to attend a meeting on Wednesday to learn about the new hand washing station construction as an option to the old tippy taps. Alex will go back to continue teaching more about the importance of having hand washing stations and encourage people about building the last courses of the bathing shelters with cement for sustainability reasons.
