- Notes
- Suzan went to the village to monitor the healthy and safe kitchens facilities such as the stove usage and the maintenance of the bathrooms, kitchens, latrines, rubbish pits, dish racks, and the main houses. When she got there, she met a few members gathered at the meeting place waiting patiently.
The members welcomed Suzan and after exchanging greetings, they discussed about a few issues concerning the program activities so far carried out and informed Suzan how they had even begun making money by building the stoves for the other new members at the nearby village neighboring them. Some of the members were absent that day because they had taken their children for the immunization which was taking place at the nearby healthy center.
Suzan managed to move around a few homes at the lower side of the village with the members present while monitoring the program facilities. Some members had improved in their general sanitation around their homes such as smearing all their buildings and stoves while others had not. Suzan demonstrated how the cracked stoves were repaired because some members had no idea how it was done, she also advised them to always maintain their facilities by smearing them so as to live a better healthy life with their families.
The members were so grateful for the visit and advice given and thanked Kibo group for the love and care showed to them. Suzan then left the village wishing them a happy stay.
