- Notes
- Ida went to Bupeni and taught the community how to make chicken feeds.
She gave both recipes for chics from a day old to eight weeks and from nine weeks and above. ( Chic and Duck mash and Growers Mash)
Ida told them to separate roosters from hens since they can now be identified. When left to feed together, the cocks will over eat and the hens will suffer from malnutrition. Ida asked the community to give lots of water because the feed makes the chickens thirsty. The water must be put in a drinker not mixed in feeds.
The community told Ida that the two recipes were enough because they cannot afford keeping broilers.
Next time will learn the ratio, how much does a chic eat a day?
