- Topic:
Community meeting.
Background:
Prior to Abraham and chris’ visit to bupaluka, the community members were in preparation of getting another bank to open up there account because the former one did not favor them. The visitation was a follow up to see how far they have reached and how I can advise accordingly.
Overview:
Abraham and chris visited members of bupaluka village to follow up their decision to find another bank to open up their account.
The chairperson said as a community they considered interest bank rates before opening the account but its taking them long to get a bank with favorable interest rates.
One old man called Robert suggested that Abraham recommends a favorable bank to them.
It was great to see how actually all the members were sharing ideas how they will operate their account and what their initial balance should be.
The chairperson requested for more time to consult with centenary bank on Wednesday and probably come back with final answer on Thursday when they meet.
Abraham thanked the community members for being determined and encouraged them to work together and open up the group account because this he said will help to improve accountability among themselves.
Chris advised them to be cautious enough to know how the bank operates and also put the distance and accessibility of the bank into consideration.
The members agreed with the chairman to consult with centenary bank and promised that they will be having a bank account before our next visit.
Abraham requested the members to mobilize those who had not shown up for the next meeting.
