Meeting the community
Notes
Ida went to Kiteigalwa to to meet with the community leaders and members to discuss the suitable venue, day and time. Unfortunately the LC chairperson and some members were not present, they had gone to the sub county to talk about a serious issue of stopping them from digging and planting rice in any wetland. Kiteigalwa is known for rice planting so if they are refused, that means that the rice machine will have been brought for nothing. The community first debated on the day because they have market days, saving scheme days and other different days, so they all agreed on Monday. The meeting place was changed from Mawazi’s home to Eremye’s home. After the meeting, few members walked with Ida and checked some facilities, some dish racks were eaten by termites, those near the swamp two of them lost their latrins but were in process of building new ones.
