- Notes
- David and Steven were in the village after they were being requested by the water user committee members to go and solve the small confusion . The confusion was a raising from the few members who never wanted to pay again towards their borehole contributions. As the Kibo staff were in the village ,they first visited ten homes encouraging them to work and meet the rightful standards.Later afterwards they joined the water meeting. In the the chairman of the borehole raised out the following , He said that some members who had paid during the first round they never wanted again to contribute .He continued and said that the majority of the community members had forgotten their roles and responsibilities. Because originally they had sat and agreed as a village to be paying quarterly per year. Therefore the Kibo staff reacted by teaching the village members about their full roles and responsibilities towards the sustainability of borehole. David and Steven also reminded them about the importance of the safe water chain. They were advised by the Kibo staff at least during every harvest season that they will be contributing towards their borehole account. The meeting ended when everyone had agreed that they be paying.
In general according to the hygiene and sanitation of the entire village was good except for the fewer homes which required some improvements.
