Village Notes
David and Steven went to nawampiti village where they were to carry out their first evaluation and they managed to reach out to 32 homes. In the homes they worked in they were able to see some new facilities like hand washing facilities, new latrine pits, dish racks, rubbish pits.kibo staff noted that this is the first village where they were able to see a lot of hand washing facilities in place. They said it was so because water missions anon governmental organisation also patterning together with namutumba district are also working with the community sensitising communities on taking full ownership of their boreholes as well as on sanitation and hygiene.David thanked and appreciated the two members elected as water mission agents for encouraging the community members on their hygiene and sanitation during the times when Kibo is out of the village. They were able to cover 32 homes because of time but in the homes they reached to they preached the importance of hygiene and sanitation as well as village unity and borehole contribution. They hope to go back and try to finish up with the first house hold survey .
