- Notes
- Harriet and Alex B went to Ituba Namalowe to check on the smearing of the home facilities and the progress of building stoves.
They were welcomed by the Chairperson Lci of the village. Harriet asked him to lead them through some homes to monitor the progress.
Interestingly most people had started smearing of their kitchens and stoves. Also most people whose stoves had dried had started cooking on them on daily basis and this was incidences by the absence of three stones fire and in some homes they found food cooking by itself.
The group told them that they have now mastered the skill and from the time kibo last visited them they have so far build five stoves on their own. Kibo staff inspected the stoves and they all looked good.
They advised the owner of these stoves to smear them so that they can look neat and last longer.
Harriet and Alex B encouraged them to continue smearing their stoves, kitchens and ensure that all them members in the group have stoves.
The group told them that their target is to ensure all the members in the group get stoves by the end of October 2019 so that they can also start scaling out to the neighboring communities.
Harriet encouraged them to continue implementing their skills if they are to be perfect because practice makes perfect .
