- When Tom, Larry, Henry and government officials reached the village, they were welcomed by the chairman and the committee members who took them around the village to see how the village has improved in terms of sanitation and hygiene. They were about to see the hand washing stands and jericans as well as latrines with iron sheets that kibo offered to them. From the chairman’s home, they moved towards the upper section checking on home after home. They also found some residents constructing facilities like latrines and hand washing stands. The government officials were very thankful to kibo for promoting sanitation and hygiene in the village. After moving around, they held a small meeting with a few village residents and leaders through which kibo staff / visitors thanked the residents and encouraged them towards sanitation improvements and maintenance. The resident also thanked kibo for the work in there village and also greatly testified about how kibo has helped improve there lives through the sanitation and hygiene encouragements. The government officials also thanked the residents and appreciated them for taking on the program. The resident spoke about there past on how dirty they were, how sick and miserable compared to now when they are clean, happy and healthy. After the meeting kibo visitors left for jinja.
