Notes
Harriet found the participants when they had already gathered at their usual meeting place. She asked them to first walk around their homes to see how they were progressing in their homes since they didn’t expect Harriet to reach in their homes but to only end at the meeting place she wouldn’t find them not prepared for her. She sampled four homes which were scattered from one another. She found all the four members sampled cooking on their stoves, their homes were well swept and smeared which was a sign of sustainability. Later the they came back for the meeting and the community told Harriet that they now plan to start building stoves for the people outside their group especially those interested. The chairperson of the group mr. Mulimdwa Peter said that the group have started a saving and loan scheme where by every Monday they meet and everyone saves Ugx 500 per week. He added that the group has agreed that when ever they build a stove for money they will always bring money back to the group which will be used / shared equally during the Christ mass holiday. Harriet encouraged them to stay working together asa team and as well maintain their facilities . She also advised to continue marketing their skill so that they get more clients.
