- Alex B met forty members of Maliga upper.They discussed how to care for the goats they received from kibo group. The chairperson of the group Fidah reported as some members approached her about their goats.The few are sick and one member so far lost his goat. In her speech said during rain season animal fall sick and even some die .The few members also had the same mind and yet they also need rain for their crops to grow. They wanted to get a solution about how to keep their animals healthy. Alex B wanted to find from them if it was rain making the goats to fall sick. Isiko one of the members said that after raining the goats eat grass that dirty things that cause them to become sick .From that point they were told that rain water has no problem but how to feed and where to keep them during rain season. He told them to keep away the goats from drinking dirty water. They were also advised not graze them were they know places that are contaminated germs. He reminded them always to graze them when mostly the grass is dry and possibly before rain. He told to keep some dry grass that in case it rains they can feed on that dry grass. When people fall sink they go for treatment. The animals when they are sick the vet doctor has to treat them. George the secretary for the group his contribution was that it could be better to talk to the vet doctor and check up with all their goats and other animals they keep. Alex B promised them that his next visit will move together to see how they goats are being cared of in their homes.They will be discussing how to care for their goats as they will be checking with members in their homes. The members bought the idea and promised to move together.
