- Notes
- Enock saw four newly dug pit latrines, three in the trading centre. They had already brought bricks for construction and promising to complete construction on Monday next week. The homes near the school have already constructed good standard facilities from the latrine, shower areas, dish racks, kitchen areas, rubbish pits and some people have constructed hand washing facilities. The target homes visited are all improving, the homes in the trading center near the main road, there were three new latrines well constructed with good structures. In the home of the chairman’s father who for a while didn’t have a latrine, now has a pit of 10ft deep. This was after Enock talked to them.Generally the community has embraced the program, learnt the benefits and importance of proper sanitation and hygiene. The chairman and VHT also help in encouraging the fellow residents to construct nice facilities in their homes.
