Notes
Alex B met thirty five members of Bupaluka about group bank account. The discussion was how they will benefit out of it and the process to the bank. The chairperson of the group Mutoota Saul gave his welcome remarks and thanked them for attending the meeting. Alex B told them that it is necessary for the group to have group bank account. He explained to them the benefits of keeping their finances in the bank. There are less risks keeping money in the bank than those in the houses because it very hard to rob the bank than the house .He also told them that they can use the bank as a group and individuals. He told them that they need to organize the documents that are required by the bank. He advised them to meet discuss and agree on the documents needed for opening a bank account. The members also raised the issue of money for opening the account. They agreed that, they need to know the bank and its requirements then decide how much each can contribute. Alex B also checked with their group garden project. The project is of cassava and soybeans. It was doing good only there was need of spraying. He advised them to prune the cassava stems and to do the spraying.
