Notes
Irene went to Budumba to teach about burns and scalds but the members requested to do a review of the previous lesson which was about a balanced diet since most of the members were not around for the previous lesson. Irene reviewed the lesson still categorizing the different foods like in the previous lesson basically the three food types which are the grow foods, glow or nourishment foods, and energy giving foods. Dividing them into groups and categorizing the foods to make a balanced diet. Irene continued to explain to the community the foods that fall in each category like foods which included fish, beans, peas, eggs, chicken among others.then energy giving foods which included most carbohydrates like posho flour, millet, rice and many more.then glow foods that include most fruits and water. Advising them to take plenty of water because it covers most of the body’s requirement and fruits for rough ages and easy digestion. Then the different groups made several food combinations that make a balanced diet using the simple foods that they can easily afford and then promised to include the other foods in their gardening in order to have plenty in the next harvest seasons
