- Notes
- Harriet found when the participants had already gathered at the meeting place.
The chairperson of the Healthy and Safe kitchen program in Bulyowa opened the meeting with a prayer.
Harriet asked the group on their progress as far as building stoves is concerned. Waako told her that all the members in the group have all got stoves and using. He added that even those who did not have kitchens built them, smeared them and the group built for them stoves.
The members also said that they always meet at the end of every month to check with each other on how the program is going. They also have been saving some money on monthly basis to prepare for Christmas.
They also said that they have so far been approached by some people from Nabitula village asking them to help them and build stoves for them. They asked Harriet on how much they should charge each member to build for him or her a stove.
Harriet told them to meet as a group and agree among themselves on how much money they should charge per stove. She also told them to be mindful of how much they charge the willing participant not too much money which may discourage the number of people asking for stoves.
Harriet encouraged them to market their skill in order to earn a living out of it.
