- Alex B met forty one members and discussed how to care about the goats they received from kibo group.
Fidah the chairperson of the group said as she received reports from members about their goats. She said that since they received the goats there has been a lot of rain.The season is not good the animals more so when it find them out during grazing.They are also affected by worms due to flood and with different diseases. The community share places for grazing the animals.Some of them share areas along the roads and some personal land for grazing.She reported as four members lost their goats to diseases. She promised to work as a team not loose more goats.
Alex B advised them not leave their goats outside during rain. The animals not to move in muddy places so that the feet be affected. He reminded them to feed them on zero grazing. To collect enough feeds that can be fed on when it has rained.The goats are known that they do not like mostly wet environment.He told them to feed on their animals on clean grass.The water for drinking also should be good and clean container.The place where the goats stay at night should be cleaned on daily basis.
The members agreed to deworm their goats mostly during the rain season it when they are affected.They also bought the idea of not leaving the goats outside when it raining.They will coordinating more as members to make sure that their goats are healthy.
