No response, Manuela also asked the pupils that what is sex? immediately they started laughing Manuela went on and asked the pupils that what is gender roles? All questions where not answered. Overview Manuela went on and explained to the pupils that gender means the biological and physiological state of being a boy or a girl by nature. She also explained to the pupils that sex means a title of being a boy or a girl. She also explained that sex and gender means the same. Manuela also explained to the pupils that gender roles means the relationship and responsibilities that a mother and father performs in the society for example men are suppose to build house and the mother to take good care of of children. Manuela asked the pupils that what do they parents do for example what their mother dose and what their fathers do! Manuela gave the pupils a small piece of papers to write any role and tape it either under the father or mother, pupils participated activity during this exercise and they enjoyed it. While the pupils where taping the roles Manuela was asking the pupils why they do that for example tapping cooking food under mother they said because they see everyday their mothers do the cooking , Manuela asked them how about father they responded that they do hunting, grazing and building the house.
