- Notes
- Suzan went to the village to follow up on some of the healthy and safe kitchens facilities which were destroyed by the previous rains and also find out if the community members were busy repairing and rebuilding them.
Some facilities which were destroyed were the dish racks, kitchen roofs, stoves, shower areas and latrines.
When Suzan reached the village, she met some of the committee group members gathered at the meeting place. They were so happy to see Suzan and after exchanging greetings, the program chairperson informed her of how some members had already started repairing their facilities and suggested they all move around and visit some homes.
During the monitoring process 11 members were found busy roofing their kitchens and rebuilding their dish racks, latrines and shower areas while others were collecting grass for roofing their kitchens. Some members had also smeared all their buildings and stoves which had cracked all over.
Suzan encouraged each member to keep maintaining and improve on their sanitation and hygiene as well as all their facilities because it would help them live a happy healthy life from from diseases. The members thanked Suzan for the advice given and then the meeting came to an end.
