Bible Lesson 4: Loving others
Notes
Ida went to Nawandyo and taught about Loving others using the story of the Good Samaritan. After reciting the story , Ida asked the community to tell some of the ways they show love to others. Asuman said that he gives to those who will pay him back. Because he thinks that it’s not good to give to someone who is helpless, where will he/she pay you back? Hasifa said that she gives to those she loves and also expect something in return. Nakanda never gives because no one gives her. And so many ideas . Ida referred them back to the story of the Good Samaritan, we must act like the Good Samaritan who helped the victim without expecting anything back, not because he knew him, just because the victim was made in God’s image. We are all accountable for each other. Let’s help not expecting something in return. Ida also encouraged the community not to focus on only material things but also help the women who have given birth, Old people, the sick and all those that need our help.
