- Anger: Introduction
- Notes
- Ida went to Kiteigalwa to introduce the Anger management lesson. Unfortunately all the local leaders had gone to the sub county for a very important meeting.
Being a rice growing community, the government will soon stop all who use wetlands as rice schemes.
So the leaders had to go and meet with the district leaders to discuss about the issue. We hope all goes well with them because that’s where the majority gets income.
Ida asked if there was any one who has never been angry, the whole community admitted that all of have been and are still angry with the government.
After all saying that nobody has to lie about anger, they are all victims.
She taught the four Gs that are a main cause of anger.
1 Genes This is one of opponents, it comes the way God created us, some are black, white, short, tall, short and long tempered etc.
2: Groups. This is the family line, mother, father, siblings and extended family. Most people do and behave the way their parents do. Sometimes people brag about being short tempered like their mother.
3: Guide Lines. Every society has guidelines to manage them. These have also contributed a lot in causing anger. Eg African men decide on everything, a woman has no say this makes women angry.
4: Goals. In life everyone has a goal to accomplish, once things don’t go the way we expected, anger comes in and sucuide (bad thoughts) comes.
Others vow to stay in marriage until death separates them, when that fails, trouble.
After knowing where Anger comes from, next time we’ll talk about causes and dangers.
