Martin went to Igerera A, he walked around that village with the Chairman LC1 and the VHTs. encouraging the residents to work on their sanitation facilities like latrines, dish racks, rubbish pits, kitchens and shower areas. Good enough, even if it’s raining so hard, the big number of homes have started working on their facilities like digging new pit latrines and constructing them, rubbish pits and shower areas.
The group was encouraging the residents about the standards, maintenance, smearing and the use of ash to eliminate mosquitoes, flies and smell, which can cause diseases like malaria, diarrhea and typhoid. They are willing to work on their sanitation facilities, because Igerera B is their nearby village, and they used to visit that village and they see what is going on their. And kibo is willing to work with them, because they are working on their home facilities on their own. After that Martin and the village leaders had a brief meeting, to discuss about how they help the community members to work on their sanitation facilities. Finally the village leaders decided to work hard encouraging the residents to work on their sanitation facilities, even if kibo is not there.
The group walked in 35homes.
