Notes
The meeting in Igerera B was about to engage the village to work together more and complete the remaining steps before the borehole commissioning. The village still has more steps to meet before the borehole is used. The two boreholes in the village need the new wall fences as mandatory before the borehole can start to be used. However the village has lately been struggling because they have not yet got all the materials required for the two wall fences. The discussion was about how to involve all the people and make sure they get all the construction materials and have both fences worked upon. The village agreed together that they would lock all the available water sources in the village to succeed getting money from all the people in the village. Also the village LC chairman will work closely with the two water committees for both wells home to home collecting contributions from every household and promised to collect the required money in a week. On the other hand, some of the people had lost some facilities to rains and Alex saw some people constructing new facilities replacing collapsed facilities including the chairman of the water user committee of the new well who was met building a new pit latrine structure after the old one had been washed away by the rains. Alex will continue to go back and follow up on this to make sure the wall fences are constructed, borehole account active before the village can start to use water from the new well.
