Notes
Alex spent most of his day at the district requesting for a district Grader to assist in removing the drilling rig that had been stuck for days in Kisiro village. The village people together with the drillers tried all ways to get it out of the mud but all in vain. The only decision that was taken was to request for the government grader to get it out. However the procedure to get this government grader is just very long as you have to be referred to many offices and the final person to put a signature is the chief administrative officer. Alex moved with the district water engineer to the works engineer to put in our request and to the C.A.O who because of the good relationship Kibo has built with Namutumba district, just okayed it without any objection to allow Kibo group use the government grader to pull the rig that had been stuck. It was the first day in office for the new C.A.O at the district and he authorized Kibo to use the vehicle which is not easy in most cases. The district did not ask for any money to use it but the drilling company only fueled it. Because of the long hours taken at the district requesting for this help, Alex was unable to reach Kisiro village and the rig was to be pulled out the following morning.
