Notes
David ,Alex,Tom,Enock Henry went to kisiro village to sensitize the residents more into depth about hygiene and sanitation under triggering. In this process they preached much about the dangers of living in a dirty environment or using un proper home hygiene facilities. The residents turned up in large number about 647 and amongst those 240 were ladies and the rest were men. The health inspector mr nkayi Mohammad, the c d o,the police officer were also present. The class was so good that the ladies were most active than the men they said the teaching was too helpful educating their husbands who were always in trading centers instead of working and improving on their home sanitation facilities . The residents were entertained during the triggering class by the drama group from namutumba district because the drama group it’s emphasis is demonstrating how costly it is if one does not work and improve on his or her hygiene standards. They loved the drama and the poem because it created more good sanitation awareness. The residents were able to learn how they would eat their own fecal maters from not washing their hands after visiting toilets and then later they shake hands greeting each other, also they learnt how defecating in the open can be harmful because even if ones neighbor would be having all the necessary facilities they learnt that the flies would move transferring diseases from a dirty neighbor to a-clean neighbor therefore every member promised during the course of Tom,s teaching that everyone will be making sure his or her neighbors would be living in a clean healthy environment by having all the facilities. From the few homes Kibo staff visited tracing for the space to be using during the teaching, they were able to notice that there is a lot of open defecation in most homes in the trading center therefore there was still more need to encourage people of kisiro to improve upon their hygiene standards.
