- Notes
- David and Steven were in the village. And their intentions of going there was to continue encouraging the homes in the upper section which were not meeting the required sanitation standards. When the Kibo staff were in the village they were joined by mr kalori the mobilizer on the sanitation committee who led the Kibo staff into the different homes. They visited about 38 homes . Out of the homes the Kibo staff visited they were all improving on their sanitation status. Which was so good and encouraging to David and Steven . Therefore as David and Steven were moving home to home they kept on encouraging the owners of the different home to improve on their sanitation facilities. Because they wanted to avoid the dug pits from getting damaged by continuous rains. However the Kibo staff were so encouraged by mr Mpata . Because he had started constructing a good shelter on his pit .Also mr Mpata continued and said that he was going to construct another standardized pit latrine even in his mother’s home in the lower section. Due to the too much rains which had started and the roads were not all that good , therefore the Kibo staff were forced to stop and head for jinja on time.
In general according to the hygiene and sanitation status of the entire village was improving. But the only challenge was everyone getting to dig and construct a pit latrine in his home .
