Notes
David and Steven were in the village. And their intentions of going there was to check on the pit latrine reconstruction . That was because previously the Kibo staff they had realized that there was a lot of new latrine pits which were dug. But they were not constructed on. Therefore the Kibo staff and some sanitation committee members as they were in the village they moved around in about 42 homes. They also noted that there was some more new pit still which were dug but still noted constructed on .For example in homes like Jane Gabula who had only the construction materials in place but she was lacking cement. Namagambo Maria she also had the same challenge. In general all the homes had the same challenges of having the dug pits in place but they were not constructed on. Therefore David and Steven thought it important to have a-small meeting which was aimed at how the owners of the finished dug pits would construct shelters on top of them. They resolved at the end of the meeting that since the homes with the already dug pits had saved some money in the village saving circle . They said that they will using that money towards the construction of shelters on their latrine . They also continued and said that mr kiyayu a-good builder will be taking a-lead during the construction time and process. David and Steven were encouraged with the that idea probably they thought it would help. In general according to the hygiene and sanitation status of the entire village was improving. Except for the only challenge of the homes whose latrine and shower areas were damaged to the storm.
