- Harriet went to Sinde village to follow up on the stove usage and stove building in the neighboring communities . She reached in the village , found participants waiting for her at the meeting place.
The meeting begun with a prayer that was led by Betty Gusino who thanked God for having enabled kibo to work in their community.
Harriet thanked the participants for being active throughout the year during kibo different program that have been implemented in their village. She also asked them to update her on how far they have gone with Syanyonja community that had requested sinde to build for them stoves.
Ms. Matilda one of the active member told Harriet that they had a meeting where they selected 10 members who were led by Gusino Isaac, Tiiti Samson,Wekesa, Matilda among others . These members went to Syanyonja met the willing participants and bargained on how much to charge per stove. They negotiated and agreed that each stove will be charged 30,000.
Two members who had the money paid and they built for them stoves. They also said that there are others members who want stoves but they promised to get money afte
Christmas.
Members also said that they want to start saving for a full year so that by Christmas they will have enough money . They want to begin January 2020.
Harriet encouraged them to keep on thinking and implementing such development ideas for them to develop.
