Notes
Enock and Alex walyomu were in this village and the main reason, was to introduce him to the LC1 and the VHTs of this village, Meet with the local leaders as well as to know the boundaries of the whole village. After meeting with the leaders, Alex told them, he is going to continue emphasising on sanitation and hygiene in their homes and the maintenance of all the facilities. The leaders welcomed Alex and agreed to work with him. They all walked around the community to check on the progress of latrine construction, dish racks, shower areas, kitchen area, clean compounds, emphasize on the continuous use of Ash plus hand washing facilities. They were able to walk in 30 homes where they saw 4 newly constructed latrines, two new latrine holes and one is about 25ft deep the other is 15ft. They had even brought bricks and sand. They met the wives in these homes who told Kibo staff that, their husbands are going to buy cement to complete the structure of the facilities. There is also one challenge of roofing the latrines, most people say there is no grass in their fields anymore. They are waiting for rice to grow and use that grass. Although people with some money they have bought iron sheets to roof. Enock and Alex then drove around to show Alex all the boundaries of this village, to also visit the boreholes they have in this village. This will give him a clear picture of this village as he starts and introduces the water source program.

1336 This lady has a small piece of land, so she decided to Construct this latrine in front of the main house.
1338 This is a new latrine hole of about 25 ft deep. This shows how people have embraced the program to even dig very deep latrines which will last them longer.
1340 This is also another new latrine. Though the challenge is now grass for roofing. We are encouraging them to get old iron sheets or use papyrus from swaps .
