- Notes
- David and Steven were in Butabira village. And their intentions of going there was to prepare the village leaders for the baseline survey . However before the Kibo staff reached the village they had communicated to the village chairman mr Buyinza Patric that they were on their way coming .
Fortunately the Kibo staff found many of the community members waiting to hear from them . The village chairman mr Buyinza Patric started the meeting by an opening praying then later he well coming the Kibo staff into their village.
After all that was done mr Buyinza Patric led the meeting by giving the chance to the Kibo staff so that they would air out what they were supposed to be telling the community members.
The Kibo staff started by thanking all the village members because they had turned up in a large numbers. David and Steven were so impressed because of the large number which had turned up for the meeting. David thought it was reflecting how the village will be responding during the program meetings.
Since it was anew village for the Kibo to start working in David instead emphasized much more about them and the village creating good relationship.
They continued and assigned the village chairman mr Buyinza Patric to mobilize some village members who would know the rightful boundaries of the village during the process of carrying out the baseline survey.
Later David explained to the community members the exact gar-jets they were to use during the baseline survey process for example the iPads ,and the questions related to the status of their sanitation. David did so because some village people shay away from new visitors if at all they don’t explain the use of the gar-jets like iPads. Therefore David explained that they will be using them for only collecting date of their sanitation status
On addition to that when David asked the borehole treasurer how much money they were still having as their borehole account balance. He said that they were having 250000 shillings. The treasurer said that they would be even having more than what they were having but because of the village’s borehole working condition being off and on . It would not enable the village having enough money for the future sustainability of their borehole. The Kibo staff at the end of their meeting promised the village that they will be communicating when they hope to carry out the baseline survey.
