- Notes
- David and Steven were in mpumiro . And their intentions of going there was to follow up on sanitation facility standards. Since the Kibo staff had called the village before reaching there . They found when the committee members were waiting for them . Because it was a sudden visit for David and Steven visiting mpumiro. They made a brief introduction to each other, and afterwards they started moving home to home checking on the sanitation standards of the different facilities. They were also moving around the entire village trying to remind all the village members that they were back into the village. Therefore it helped the village and the sanitation committee members because they were awakened from their holiday,s . All the homes which were reached out by the Kibo staff the owners thanked David and Steven to for that notice and reminder that they were back into the village. However the village was reminded that they should start to improve on the old facilities more so those that were affected by the rains . They were advised to always use stronger construction materials for the future sustainability of their sanitation facilities. David also sited an example to the village by showing them many facilities which were constructed up to the rightful standards that they were not affected by the rains . When David and Steven were moving home to home they saw five new pits which were coming up. Therefore the owners of those pits which were new and recently dug were advised to double there efforts before the next coming rainy season. The sanitation committee members were also reminded of their roles and the responsibilities . In general according to the hygiene and sanitation status of the homes which the Kibo staff reached was improving.Except the homes which were have the more need for improvements.
