- Harriet and Steven Kambale went to igerera B,the trip was intended to introduce the Healthy and Safe kitchen program. They were received by the chairperson LC1 Mr. Kamya who told them other local leaders were not able to attend because there was a funeral of an old woman in the village and other leaders were at the funeral. Steven introduced Harriet to these local leaders. Harriet introduced briefly the Program to the local leaders and told them that the program to be effective needs every one in the community to participate, every one requires to have all the sanitary facilities in place. She also told them that this program aims at reducing the cases of fire accidents,number of times women spend in the forests looking for firewood,cooking food fast as well as reducing fire accidents and improving marriage relationship . The chairperson said that this program will benefit his community and reduce on cases of domestic violence and divorce.Harriet asked him to tell them the most convenient time,date and venue for the program meeting. The community leaders asked Harriet to arrange and meet the community on Monday 20th January 2020 and ask the community to decide for them selves the most convenient time, date and venue for the lessons to promote active participation. Harriet asked the leaders to mobilize the community for the first community meeting.
