Notes
Yesterday 20/01/2020 Abraham and Chris visited Kitukiro village as a continuation of constitution writing. Before the meeting could commence Abraham and Chris requested the chairperson to walk with them through the community trying to check on different Kibo projects and mobilize for the meeting as well, this was done because Abraham and Chris wanted to empower the chairperson and show him how best he can mobilize the community for the meeting. This worked because Abraham and Chris were able to mobilize 15 women and 13 men for the meeting, however during the village tour Abraham and Chris observed that the trees the community planted where growing so well except a few isolated cases of trees which dried up due to drought however Chris encouraged the community members to irrigate in morning and evening. The chairperson updated Chris and Abraham and the community at large on how far they have reached in writing their own constitution and said they are now in their final stage of sitting down and compile it as a community, the chairperson used this opportunity to thank the community for being cooperative whenever he needed their views. Abraham thanked the community members for working together with their leaders and encouraged them to keep with that spirit however,Abraham advised the community members to start thinking about a possible project they can do together as a community so as to elevate their financial status, he said it could be small or big depending on their capabilities. Chris encouraged the community not to fear to start small, he said most big projects had a very humble and small beginnings but they are eventually big. Chris said what matters is the spirit of working together as a community with love which will lead them where they want to be in future. Abraham concluded by reminding the community to take care of the trees in this dry season,to love one another as Christ loves us and promised to visit them on 29th this month to discuss about what they can do as a community.
