Notes
David ,Alex . W along with Chris were in Butabira . And their intentions of going there was to carry out the base line survey. When the Kibo staff reached Butabira the village leader s were already waiting for them . They waited for them because they were the ones who knew the actual boundaries of the village. Therefore the village chairman divided up the village into three sections. And each section of the village was covered up with one of the Kibo staff to carry out the baseline survey. In the section which David covered he noted the following ,Some new dug latrine pits were seen in some homes. That impressed David a lot because he knew that the village from the first day they visited some members were able to start working. David also saw many latrine pits which were destroyed by the continuous rains .Fortunately also some were reconstructed . Because most of the different latrines they looked newly constructed. David also continued and noted that though the borehole was having a lot of issues, but still it was serving a lot of people . And it was the only well throughout the entire village. In general the total number of the homes which were covered according to David,s assessment they were 150 homes. And the sanitation status of the homes needed more improvements and encouragements.
