Notes
Harriet made a surprise visit to kiteigalwa and this was intended to follow up on the stove usage, stove building process in the neighboring communities ,smearing and building of the firewood storage. She reached in the village and started walking home checking on their facilities. She begun from the Chairperson LC1 home and found when all his three wives were using their stoves on daily basis, their facilities well smeared. She also walked to the rest of other homes and found some people who had back slid in smearing their facilities . Harriet reminded them about the importance of smearing their facilities because it enables their stoves and other facilities last longer as well as prevent dust that may harbor insects like flees and jiggers leading to diseases. Also participants told her that they have now started working in Mawanga village teaching the community how to build stoves. Harriet encouraged to maintain the team spirit. They also told Harriet that they have now started a saving scheme among the stove members because they want to do more developmental things on top of building stoves. They said that they want to buy other utensils like plates and cups that they can use during funerals and parties. Harriet encouraged them to stay working together and think of other development plans.
