Martin went to Mpumiro, he walked around with the Chairman LC1 and the sanitation committee members. Their intention was to check on the facility constructions and standards in that village. And good enough a big number of homes are busy digging their new pit latrines and constructing them with bricks and cement. And those facilities which was under construction are latrines, kitchens and shower facilities. So the group was encouraging those who are still digging their new pit latrines to construct them in a strong way and better standard. So that they can use them for a long time, to avoid the replacement of them every time. When the group was walking around in that village, they asked the residents about other sanitation facilities like dish racks, rubbish pits and hand washing stands . The community members told them that, they wanted to work on the facilities which can need some money for buying materials like bricks and cement. Because they are some families which can not manage to make their own bricks, so they have to buy them before they construct their facilities like latrines, kitchens and shower facilities. And the group was encouraging the residents to work harder to complete their sanitation facilities, So that they can work on other things like to work on their gardens, So that they can have food in future,without focusing on home facilities for a long time. Because kibo wants them to be healthy and to have food. For those who are have worked on their sanitation facilities, the group was encouraging them about the standards, maintenance and the use of ash to eliminate flies and smell in their homes. According to their explanation, they are willing to work on their sanitation facilities and to with kibo. And kibo also is willing to work with them. The group walked in 36homes.
