Notes
Martin went to Kishaike, he walked around with the Chairman LC1 and the sanitation committee members. Their intention was to check on the sanitation improvement in that village about their sanitation facilities. And to check on those who are still working on their facilities like constructing their new dish racks and the washing stands. For those who are have been digging their new pit latrines, they are preparing to construct them. For those who can’t manage to make bricks, they are trying to get the money for buying bricks and cement, so that they can construct their sanitation facilities . For those who can, they are making their bricks also to construct their new latrines and other facilities like kitchens and shower facilities. The group was continuing to encouraging the community members about the standards, maintenance, smearing and the use of ash to eliminate flies and smell in their homes as well as the village. The reason why kibo is always encouraging the community members in the village they working in about the standards, maintenance, smearing and the use of ash in their latrine. It’s because if they construct them on a bad standard, they can clops in a shot time. But if they are construct them in a strong way and better standard, they can stay longer. If they maintain and smear them, they look nice and better, and village also look nine and clean. And on the side of using ash in their latrines in to avoid flies and smell in their latrine, which can cause diseases like malaria and other diseases which can bring poverty and death sometimes. The group was encouraging them to work harder and complete their sanitation facilities, so that they can do other things in their homes as well as the village. The group walked in 35homes.
