- Alex B met thirty five members about how to manage the group finances. This is after opening group bank about. The group has more than one project.
Margaret Waiswa in her remarks said that the group is current do agricultural and mostly so far maize and peas.She suggested to the members of personal and group saving.The feature plan also to begin loaning scheme basing on how the members will be saving.Swaibu Kigoolo asked the members to think of other projects that can be done and raise money for the group.
Alex B advised them to keep records of all the finances for the group. He told the members to begin with it right from their personal finances. The chairperson,secretary and the treasurer,should have all the records concerning the group and more so of the finances to avoid being questioned by the members.They had discussion together and found it necessary for them to be bought books for record keeping. The different projects of the group with their finances should be recorded separate In those books.The issue of saving has personal and group saving.personal is when one save with group account as personal money. Group saving is mostly money agreed on each to save for the development of the group. This one of the group all have the same rights on that money since they all have contributed the same amount. Money from the garden project,donation and other projects members should know how it flows in and out of the account.He did not want them to involve In loaning scheme before when their Saving is not yet effective.
Alex B agreed with members in the meeting to discuss more about books of their finances and how they will get to the loaning scheme.
