Notes
Abraham and Chris visited Kazimba kungira to introduce the Mvule program to the community members. It was the first time Abraham and Chris were visiting this community, it was visible that Kazimba kungira is one of the communities that have been affected by massive deforestation so Abraham and Chris feel there is a lot to do in this community. The meeting included 23 men and 20 men including the LC1 and his committee meanwhile the parish councilor and the VHT joined us later, the chairperson thanked Kibo for introducing Mvule program to his community and said their is a dare need to plant trees in his community and he hopes Kibo will help to sensitize the community about planting trees however, he said apart from deforestation, his community is in a water crisis were by the borehole that has been supplying water to over 1900 people including the school children broke down and now the community members have gone back to dig the swamps they used to fetch water from. During the meeting, Abraham promised the members that he would take there pleas to the district or Kibo board to see if they can help out , Abraham also promised to invite the District water Engineer to inspect the state of the borehole and give them a way forward. After discussing to the community members about the importance of trees ,Abraham encouraged the members who were interested in planting trees to register with the chairperson and the number of trees they plan to plant. Abraham promised to visit again on 28/02/2020 on Friday to invite the District water Engineer and the CDO to engage with the community about the water crisis and sensitize more about tree planting.
