- Notes
- Harriet went to kalitumba and did not find any one at the meeting place but when she reached the the chairperson of the group Ms, Dina decided to walk around the village reminding the participants of the meeting.
After an hour most people had turned up for the meeting. The meeting begun with an open prayer that was led by Jeska Naigaga who thanked God for enabling kibo to work in their village.
Harriet asked the group to update her on how far they have gone with building stoves because from the last time she met them the number was still small for the entire village. She told scared them that she wants to make a general report and quit the village because they seem to be slow or less interested.
The chairperson of the group Mrs Dina apologized on behalf of the group and said that they have been busy in the garden to an extent of lacking time to meet. By chance some people who have not got stoves were also present.
Kamiyati asked the group to reach out to them( those with out stoves) so that they also get stoves. She added that they have already smeared their stoves but only what is missing is the stove.
Another member told the group that before they saw how the stove works they did not know its value but having seen her co-wife with a stove that helps her to cook fast in a clean environment using less firewood and her husband no longer wait for her food which takes longer to get ready compared to her co-wife’s.
The chairperson of the group Dina thanked the participants for showing interest and tasked them to go and look for more 10 interesting participants and them inform the group to come and work with them so that they also get stoves.
Harriet thanked the group for showing love for one another and willing to work together. She also promised to follow up with them to monitor their progress.
The group thanked kibo for being patient with them despite being slow.
