Notes
Ida went to Bupeni to finalize the chicken coop demonstration. Unfortunately she found when the whole village was mourning. A community member went for his introduction ceremony, on their way back home with his wife(bride) the driver and some two family members drowned in the lake. The bridge collapsed before they had crossed. So all five people were reported dead. The whole village was confused, didn’t know what was next, some men rode their bicycles to go and help in anyway. Others were helping at the Giso’s home with some work. Ida didn’t teach her lesson but postponed until further notice. She will make plans with the group mobilizer and get another day.
Next Visit
2020-03-09 - Purpose: To finalize with the chicken coop building demonstration.
Program Success
Bupeni worked together when five people drowned the lake. No one went in the garden but all gathered at Giso’s home to comfort him because he lost his brother in the tragedy.
Program Critical Needs
They need some advice on the chicken coops.
Program Ownership
When the sub county Giso lost his brother, the community was there for him. Some members brought firewood and food, men were building a tent whereas others were fetching water. They said if a Good Samaritan helped a victim he didn’t know, what about their Giso?
Other Program Observations
Mvule program members have kept the trees well.
Program Expected Of Village
Mobilize members to attend the next meeting.
Program Staff Preparations Next Visit
Staff will prepare lessons for the next meeting.
