Notes
David and Steven were in kilwanire village. They had gone to teach the sanitation committee members about their full roles and responsibilities. As they were in the village they found when all the sanitation committee members had gathered waiting to hear from them. They started the meeting by all the sanitation committee members carrying out the self introduction before the Kibo staff . Unfortunately on the side of the sanitation committee one member was missing because he was away for a-burial in the next village. However the Kibo staff proceeded on with the meeting by guiding the members about what they were supposed to be doing . They were advised to always be taking the lead as the sanitation committee members. Hence by living and serving as the first example before they reached out to the other people in the village . They were also advised on how best they would maintain the momentum of the sanitation progress . Because of that the committee were encouraged of moving twice a week. The Kibo staff also reminded the committee on the rightful sanitation standards of all the necessary facilities. Also above all the members were advised to maintain the unity and cooperation amongst all the members. By not segregating any one in the community despite of their differences or the age bracket. They ended the meeting by the committee along with the village chairman visiting a home of a certain one member who had issues of sharing the same latrine with his in-law. They reached that home and the issue was solved by David and Steven advising the son in low to construct brick wall . It would prevent one from seeing the latrine user from the other side room . They left that home when everyone was happy and okay about the issue of constructing the wall protecting all the different latrine users. David,s overview was that the village is willing to improve. Basing on the many homes which had started working and improving on their sanitation standards. The Kibo staff left the sanitation committee members with an assignment which was that they were supposed to be moving home to home twice a-week.
